Friday Fictioneers – Stomp!

(Author’s note: February 21st is moving day. I hope to have something already ready by then for Fictioneers. Otherwise, it’s winter camp prep and stupidity. Cannot wait until this stuff is done for good. Anyhow, here’s tonight’s fictioneers, based upon a true story.)

Stomp!

The townhouse door opened quickly.

Donna was about to walk in, when she saw it, and screamed.

“What’s wrong…” her friend Lisa started to say, before she turned and screamed.

Hasty dialing commenced. Within 5 minutes, their friends arrived. An engineer, a computer technician, and a former Navy SEAL, all looked inside, then grinned at each other.

“It’s Spider Stomping Day!”

After much crunching and squishing, they came out covered in goo.

“Alright, the good news is, we got all the spiders,” SEAL said, “The bad news is, your walls have spider guts on them.”

“Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww….”

Thankfully,  they knew a cleaner…

The Boys Of Summer

“Alright, boys. Let’s get out there and do what we do!” Coach said, as he looked into the eyes of his players.

The Keneely Knickerbockers were the #1 Junior League baseball team, for the first time in 87 years. It was a feat. Coach didn’t know how it happened, but they just started playing well this season. And now they were there, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the Junior League Championship.

As the 16 and 17-year-old boys ran out of the tunnel, they looked to the stands. They saw the girls who traveled across the country to see them play.

They lovingly gazed at the girls who made them the Boys of Summer.

Everything You Want

He sat alone, his back to a bush, overhearing some of the young folk.

“I’m really pumped up by his ideas!”
“Yeah, he’s got this new way of doing things that’s really awesome.”
“I like our current one, but this new guy’s got fire.”

The young man looked out at the world, listening as they gushed. As they walked away, he sighed and looked out at the rest of the world.

Suddenly, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked and saw a mousy brunette staring at him through stylish glasses.

“I still think you’re the best pastor, Pastor Bob.”

He smiled, as she walked away.
