Angel In Disguise
by Miles H. Rost
Tom looked over the large lawn on the British estate that he stayed at. He was about to turn around when he felt soft, silky hands wrap around his shoulders.
“Tomas, come back to me.”
“But I’m right here.”
“For good.”
“I want to, but…”
“But what?”
She spun him around and pressed herself upon him.
“I need to decide, Sandra. Nashville or you.”
“Why not both? You work for my dad’s business, then work with Nashville remote?”
She made sense. Her Spanish accent added another level to that sense.
“You’re an angel, Sandra.”
“In disguise, non?”
He enveloped her.
RIP Earl Thomas Conley (1941-2019)
Sounds as if they both got what they wanted 🙂
Boy howdy!
That’s a nice story, Miles. Nice piece of music to go with it. 🙂
Earl was a big part of my growing up years in MN. He was one of the top #1 hitmakers during the 1980s, and I love his music. It just seemed to fit. 🙂
That’s a lovely solution to the problem.
Sometimes it takes a little logic to make everything work together.
She certainly knows her way around his heart.
She knew what he wanted, and just applied logic. Pretty simple for Sandra.
British estate is better than Nashville. She has already agreed to working remote. What is the hesitation, Tomas?
Actually, he’s the one who will likely work remotely. She just convinced him. 🙂
Sounds as if this could work out well for everyone. Nicely told.
Oh yes. It worked out better than they expected.
