The Moon Over Georgia
by Miles H. Rost
The voice was husky, tough yet soft.
“You have a choice, Melinda.”
The werewolf turned around and stared at his daughter, a blonde-furred beauty.
“Your inheritance will be released to you early, if you marry Martin.”
He gestured to a black-furred werewolf from a tribe in Idaho.
“Or marry Gerald, whom you claim to love; and renounce everything, yet be free of the curse.”
He gestured to a plain-looking, bespectacled man of around 30.
Melinda looked, then latched onto Gerald and jumped off the yacht.
Melinda bobbed up after a moment; her fur and muzzle both gone.
She would marry Gerald, instead.
(Warning: Strong Language.) (This is the inspiration, in a way.)
Interesting! i guess you meant to say Martin in the last line.
Nope. I didn’t.
Okay. Thanks!
Yay, Gerald! and Yay, Melinda for realizing he was worth losing the inheritance–and the curse. Great story 🙂
Sometimes, you gotta know when to let go.
I would think Gerald would be a bit daunted at marrying a woman he can see in her werewolf form, also knowing all his in-laws would be of a similar nature.
I guess love conquers all? And since she’s free from the curse and her inheritance, the in-laws will likely have disowned her. Meaning she’s an orphan.
That might be for the best, although I do imagine a neer-do-well furry uncle stopping by their place “just for a night or two.” 😀
A happy ending – hooray! Gerald must have had hidden charms. Nice story, Miles
She just wasn’t keen on continuing to be furry.
I’m wondering what first attracted Gerald to hairy Melinda! He should have gone to Specsavers!

Her personality.
Yay! Victory for us, the bespectacled commoners.
Wish I could say the same. XD
Great, hopefully she made the right choice and that Gerald loves her back
If he can love her as a werewolf, then he loves her just as much if not more as a human.
And love over inheritance wins! Yes… Obviously Gerald knows what’s at stake as he is there waiting for her..
Either that, or the new vacuum cleaners have arrived. (see the comedy link)
😁
I hope he is worth it.
Trust me, sometimes it’s good to go outside what you know.
All is well, unless daddy decides to make a werewolf out of Gerald.
I think it’s assumed that daddy’s giving his daughter a choice, and that he’ll honor it.
I guess, after all that much fur, a plain, bespectacled man would be very attractive. 🙂
Or she just didn’t like furry guys.
She is with the love of her life and free of the curse. what more can she ask for? Money can be earned in their life-time . Good story.

Ding! Winner!
ah, to have choices in such things. To be free of parent’s curse…that would be the ‘thing’.
Gotta be free to be thee. 😀
A bittersweet choice, either way. I hope her love for Gerard proves true, and that she doesn’t live to regret this.
Bittersweet? She’s reveling in it!
Oh okay, I thought she might feel torn about abandoning her family’s way of life and rejecting her father, but I guess I read it wrong, sorry!
Better to he free and human than an inheriting a curse!💐💐💐
Well, some don’t see it as a curse. But for her, it most certainly is. I mean, look where the hair GROWS! XD
Hmmmmmmmmm! 👍
Unexpected twist to the plot. Nicely done, Miles
Thanks! 😀
Perhaps Gerald is kinky and likes his women furry at full moon, so he won’t want to marry her anymore!
A most amusing tale, Miles 😀
Nah. He loves her fur or no fur. She just wanted to make sure her kids were non-furry.
😀
so gerald it is – and I enjoyed the videos – feel like I learned a bit of history – and i can see where the inspiration came from….
Heh heh heh!
and that moon over GA song was a nice mellow song tonight – thanks!!!
I always loved that song. Shenandoah could rock it out in a country way, but when they got into the mushy stuff, they excelled!
sounds like a good band….
