Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone
by Miles H. Rost
“Cindy! Cindy, it’s time for dinner!”
Mom was calling again. I hated when that happened, because it means that fun was to end and my studies had to begin again.
I pulled my coloring book off the rock and put it under my arm. I couldn’t wait to get back to it tomorrow.
“Hey!”
I heard a noise coming from somewhere.
“HEY!”
I looked around. “Hello?
“In the book, you brat!” it said, quite muffled.
I opened up the book, and the stick man which Ihad half-colored was frowning at me.
“You nearly killed me, kid!”
It spoke. And it wasn’t going to shut up. Oh no, Mom’s not gonna be happy about this…
Mom is likely not to be pleased!
I LOVE it! Great story! Cute. Stick men and I are on a first name basis, maybe that’s why. Anyway, delightful story. 🙂
Absolutely adorable, I see a toy story spin off in your future- the half coloured stick men :). Well done.
I suspect studies may be delayed for a bit. This could develop into a fun, longer story. Good stuff.
Love it! A great start to a story about a magical girl!
Haha, sounds like it will be an interesting dinner.
I wonder what else is in that colouring book. Great story with an appealing character – or two.
Oh I love that voice! Nice work!
Really laughed. Thanks for the entertainment!
Oh this is great. Colouring with magical crayons, or maybe the book is magical, or the girl, or the process… this is such a fun idea.
She can bring coloring books to life? Now that’s cool. I would like to see where this one leads.
Fun! Maybe Mom will be intrigued…;-)
Coincidentally, our stories are very similar. This photo has caused our minds to mesh. I loved this one. It reminds me of The Twilight Zone and Amazing Stories.
A child’s dream and nightmare – imagination springing to life!!!
L S Lowery could not have painted it better. Loved it.
