Author’s Note: My apologies for the lack of communication over the last week. March in Korea is the start of new classes and the week has been incredibly busy with new arrangements, new classes. 11 more weeks of this, and I will be finished with this part of life. Also, if you’re on Facebook, don’t forget to like my author’s page. I would love to be able to communicate and give some of the “behind the scenes” regarding some of my stories.

California Dreamin’
by Miles H. Rost
They were called the “Four Arms”. Brothers-in-arms who did everything together.
Even illicit drugs.
Propped up by a fence, they found the secret stash of ‘shrooms buried among harmless normal mushrooms. They sat back and looked at the sky as they took in the fumes and took out from their own minds.
“Whoa! Look at that cloud up there! It looks…like Cookie Monster!”
“It’s got so many COLORS, man.”
“Yeah, it’s just so wild. Blue never smelled so good.”
“If this is what it’s like in California, I’m goin’.”
They all smiled as they took their psychedelic trip to California, little knowing just how much their “trip” would cost them…
That’s one of my favorite songs….thanks for including it…very visual and true…mushrooms way back when were like teachers of a different realm.
hmm, wrong kind of mushroom maybe?
Nah. Some people just have naturally bad trips. 🙂
Dear Miles,
God job. Thanks for the memories.
Aloha,
Doug
Dear Miles,
Sounds like California Dreamin’ is becoming a reality. 😉 Love the song an the Mamas and Papas. Great group. I think I knew these guys in college.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Lovely. With flowers in their hair, I hope.
Love the bath sequence in the video! And were we meant to be ‘cool’?
Amsterdam used to look a bit like that when I was there in the 60’s
A trip to remember….
Ah, the old mushroom trip. By gone days, for sure.
Love the Mamas and the Papas. As for the mushrooms, I prefer cooking mushrooms. 🙂 Good job, Miles.
