(Author’s note: I turn 41 tomorrow. There’s a lot going on. Let’s just get to it.)

Inside A Dream
by Miles H. Rost
Delia’s eyes grew wide at the organizer on her daddy’s desk.
“Daddy, can I have paper clip?”
Her father looked down and smiled. His beautiful 6 year old came to work with him, due to inservice days at school. He sat down and lifted her onto his lap, and plucked a silver paper clip out.
Delia worked her fingers, bending, unbending; like lightning she moved. Daddy just closed his eyes, taking the quick break that he was hoping for.
“I’m done!”
He opened his eyes, and looked down at Delia, who had made a house out of one clip.
“How Beautiful!”
How wonderful when a paperclip can be so engrossing
It’s a bit like cats with the boxes we get from Amazon! Thanks for the comment!
Lovely. Made me smile.
Glad to have put a smile on your face!
In the hands of a genuine artist… Loved this one.
Oh, she’s just starting. Soon she’ll be bending EVERYthing. 😀
Working creatively with the simplest of tools – a real gift.

Delightful, I wonder what she’ll make next! And … happy forty-first!
Thank you! 41’s been… an interesting ride.
A nice picture of a father-daughter relationship. Well written!
Thank you very much!
Awww …. clever child and patient father.
A feel-good story to read … Nice!
Happy New Year 2021

She knows what she wants! Thanks!
I used to like bending them when I was on the phone with someone at work (when not writing lots of notes while talking.) Glad she got to go to work with daddy and have fun.
Sometimes, work for a child is just taking 2 minutes to make a paperclip house while her dad works. Thanks for the visit.
Art comes in many forms, I enjoyed read this.
It indeed does. Thanks for stopping in!
