“Nadia!”
“Yes, papa?”
The 6 year old’s father walked out into the entryway.
“My child, what are you doing?”
“I’m dancing, papa!”
He started chuckling, smiling down at his little girl.
“Would you like to teach your papa to dance?”
“Of course I want you to dance!”
She put her hand in her dad’s, and showed him how to turn around. He already knew how to do so, but humored his daughter, who loved him so.
“My daughter, you will make a lot of people happy in the future.”
“I know! I will be the best dancer in the world!”
Almost 10 years later…
“…and it is…”
“A perfect 10!”
Dear Miles,
Lovely story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Personally, I thought I could do better. The thing is, the music caught my ear, and just from there…a great little story comes forth.
Your story using the picture, that one really took the cake. ^_^
From little acorns, mighty oaks do grow.
Delightful story.
That is true. Every great person in history was once a small child full of wonder.
A lovely dad, to support his daughter so 🙂 That moment might just have made all the difference.
Oh, this is wonderful. The end caught me by surprise, but I don’t know why. I remember that Olympics and that Perfect 10! 🙂 Thanks for the memories and the story.
Why thank you! ^_^
Greatness starts at an early age, especially with support from those we love. Lovely story!
I remember her, too. That’s a lovely story.
A lovely little story. It is nice too when a parent will support their child. That, I believe, can be a real decider in whether or not that child will continue with their ambitions.
Oh I remember Nadia… she was such a perfect 10.
